You can choose them too, but please remind the bus driver’s assistant, (The person who checks your ticket on-board the bus) to wake you up in Semarang!

There is also the executive-class tourist bus Joglosemar, that connects Jogjakarta, Solo and Semarang (hence the name). Joglosemar picks up tourists from specific hotels and provide snacks and water for your trip. Considerably pricier than other executive buses, it is more comfortable and provides a friendly service throughout the journey.

From Sukarno Hatta Airport you we suggest you to take DAMRI Airport bus with the last destination of either PULOGADUNG bus terminal, LEBAKBULUS bus terminal, or RAWA MANGUN bus terminal. It costs IDR 20.000 and takes about 1 hour.

What if your flight arrives quite late in Jakarta? Where should you stay?

In case your flight arrives in Jakarta quite late, you can stay in the airport hotel or you can go to Jalan Jaksa for cheap accommodation. The transit hotel in Jakarta airport will cost you arround US $ 40. In Jalan Jaksa, you can get the place to stay from the range of Rp. 60.000,- up to Rp. 180.000,- for one night.

To go to Jalam Jaksa, catch “Damri” bus to Gambir for Rp. 20.000,- and take traditional orange cab called bajaj for Rp. 10.000,- from the station to Jalan Jaksa. You can find room easily there and just ask the bajaj driver to take you to some hotels and guess houses available. Be aware with your luggage. Make sure that you do not scatter it on your trip.

Then, if you need to go to the PULOGADUNG or RAWAMANGUN bus terminals (the close one) the following day, just take the bus with destination of that terminal. Please consider the time because it is quiet long distance and traffic jams occur in day time.
